The Ladies Aid Society of Flat Rock works throughout the year to raise money to donate to local charities and nonprofit organizations. We vote annually at our August meeting on the groups that we will support for that year.

Our funds for distribution come from dues, donations, specific fundraisers and a once-yearly used book sale at the Village of Flat Rock’s Ice Cream Social. Held the first Saturday in June, members donate and collect books for the sale. We also have an account number (113) at Books for Good, Inc. in Fletcher and receive funds from books donated there, once sold, under our number.
